Ditmar Rules Changes (suggested):
- Best New Talent allow non-professional works to be considered
- Wording referring to "finalists" be changed to "nominees"
- Timeliness wording be changed to consider performances/speeches
- Australianness wording be changed to consider co-authorship and
large productions involving Australians and non-Australians
- Best Artwork wording be replaced with "Artwork" and
"Performance/Production" definitions, as per 3.4-3.7
- Performances be eligible for consideration as Professional
Achievement or Fan Production/Achievement, but not Artwork
- Reference to websites (as Productions) and ezines (as Fanzines)
be made specific
- A decision be made and included in the awards about which
categories are for "works" (which need to be specified in
nominations) and which for "authors"
- A new category of Best Dramatic Presentation or Best Professional
Production/Performance be reconsidered
- Nominees be offered the choice to withdraw particular works
from consideration during the ballot-generation process, to avoid
self-competition
- All the Appendix of "Possible Future Changes" be dealt with
